Ernest John Holtkamp

Ernest John Holtkamp, 82, of Houghton, died at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Donnellson Health Center.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12 at St. John's Catholic Church in Houghton, with Father Gary Beckman officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 11 at the church, with a rosary recited at 3 p.m., a wake service at 6 p.m. and family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to St. John's Catholic Church. Link Funeral home in West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife and a son, Ernest Holtkamp Jr. of Houghton.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Joseph; and five sisters, Margaret, Irene, Agnes, Dolores and Cecelia.
