Esta Virginia Brown Hoffman

Esta Virginia Brown Hoffman, 91, of Pella, died Thursday evening, March 24, 2005, at the Pella Regional Health Center in Pella.

      The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at the Birmingham United Methodist Church in Birmingham, with the Rev. Michael Renken officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery in Stockport. Visitation will be tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 at the church. A memorial has been established to Hilltop Manor North in Pella. Survivors include three daughters, Gloria and her husband Jay Miles of Knoxville, Karen and her husband Neal Vinyard of Hot Springs, Ark., and Judith and her husband Marvin Douglas of Burlington; and two sons, Kenneth and his wife Dorothy Hoffman of Indianola, and Dan Hoffman of Fairfield; and eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard Hoffman; six brothers, Ira, Asa, Otto, Alva, Arlow and Arza; and five sisters, Alma, Lola, Zola, Iris and Lela.
