Esther B. Griffith

      Esther B. Griffith, 86, of Decorah, formerly of Overland Park, Kan., died on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital following a short illness.

      A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the United Methodist Church in Decorah, with the Rev. Carol Kress officiating. Burial will be in the Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home in Decorah.

      Survivors include a daughter, Dana and her husband Donald Maxfield of Dorchester; two sons, Gary and his wife Jeri Griffith of Noblesville, Ind., and Jonathan and his wife Melinda Sue Griffith of New York City, N.Y., and Portland, Ore.
