Esther Miller
KALONA ? Esther Miller, 96, of Kalona, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in her home, after a lingering illness.
Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Sharon Bethel Church in Kalona. Burial will be at Sharon Bethel Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation began Sunday evening and will also be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church. A memorial fund has been established for Iowa City Hospice. Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Miller was born Feb. 25, 1913, in rural Kalona, the daughter of Amos J. and Elizabeth (Brenneman) Gingerich. She married Chris M. Miller on Nov. 24, 1933, in Johnson County.
