Ethel M. Schaefer

      MOUNT PLEASANT - Ethel M. Schaefer, 82, of Arbor Court, Mount Pleasant, formerly of Lockridge, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, in the care center.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, in the Weir and Kimzey Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Dianne Brokken of the New Sweden United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Grant Cemetery, Rome. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

      Mrs. Schaefer was born Nov. 19, 1926, in North English, the daughter of G. Lewis and Myrtle (Thompson) Schwab. She married Don Thomes. The couple later divorced. In September 1953 she married Max Schaefer.
