Ethel Miller

Ethel Miller, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Farmington, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, at the Park Place Long Term Care Unit in Mt. Pleasant.

      A memorial service for Mrs. Miller and her husband will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19 at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will be at Keokuk National Cemetery at a later date. The body has been donated to the Deeded Body Program at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City for medical science research. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service. A memorial has been established to the American Diabetes Association.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley and her husband Dan Spray of West Union, and Theresa and her husband John Robertson of Farmington; two sons, Amel and his wife Barb Miller of Owasso, Okla., and Raymond and his wife Debbie Miller of Keokuk; and 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lawrence Smith; a sister, Cartha Blythe; and three great-grandchildren.
