Ethel Virginia Hauenstein

Ethel Virginia Hauenstein, 94, of Wayland, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Washington County Hospital.

      The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25 at Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church, with the Rev. Charles Visser officiating. Burial will be in Eicher Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today at Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial has been established to Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church Sunday School.

Survivors include a son, Everett and his wife Doris Hauenstein of Wayland; two daughters, Donna and her husband Paul Rebling of rural Mt. Pleasant, and Joyce Kisner of Columbus Junction; a sister, Helen Shepherd of Wayland; and 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Ruby; four brothers, Lewis, Hayward "Swede", Harry, and Harold "Hosky"; and three sisters, Harrietta, Mary and Emily.
