Eugene P. Reed

      Eugene P. Reed, 81 of Washington, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in halcyon House following declining health.

       Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 13, in the St. James Catholic Church in Washington with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove cemetery. Visitation began at noon today in the Beatty Funeral Home where the family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. A rosary will be at 6 p.m. and a Vigil service at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Association or The St. James Catholic Church.

      Mr. Reed was born July 6, 1924 in Richland, the son of Walter John and Margaret Mary (Hammes) Reed. He married Marcella Margaret Haupert on Nov. 26, 1954 in St. Elizabeth Church in Harper.
