Eugene 'Trucker' Allen Wead

      KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Eugene "Trucker" Allen Wead, 77, of Kansas City, formerly of Washington, Iowa died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006 in the Shawnee Mission Medical Center of pneumonia after an extended illness.

      Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 in the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington with the Rev. Kelly Allard officiating. A fellowship reception will be held following the graveside service in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Assoc.

      Mr. Wead was born March 9, 1929 in St. Paul, Minn., the son of Robert C. and Viola C. (Schutt) Wead. He married Dorathy Turnipseed on July 8, 1955 in the Washington Methodist Church.
