Eustolio Rangel, age 82, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his wife, kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2025, at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Dane Dickinson and Fr. Dennis Martin con celebrating. Visitation will begin 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. A general memorial has been established. Online condolences may be sent for Eustolio’s family at www.jonesfh.com.
Eustolio was born November 13, 1943, in Tzitzio, Michoacan de Ocampo, Mexico, the son of Cirilo Rangel Guitierrez and Escolastica Coria Rangel. He was united in marriage to Raquel Perez in 1964.
Eustolio has lived in Iowa since 2000. He worked at West Liberty Foods, Mt. Pleasant Foods and did residential roofing. He enjoyed woodworking, yard work, fishing and listening to music. He was a hard worker and always kept busy helping his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Raquel Rangel of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Angelica Rangel of Washington, Iowa; son, Jose Martin (Elvira) Rangel of Washington, Iowa; son, Ramiro (Angela) Rangel of Reklaw, Texas; son, Alejandro (Merbella) Rangel of Houston, Texas; son, Eustolio Rangel of Texas; son, Sabino (Griselda) Rangel of Muscatine, Iowa; son, Gerardo (Hannah) Rangel of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Erica Rangel of Washington, Iowa; 24 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Anita (Roman) Vidales of Chicago, Illinois; and Robertina Rangel of Mexico.
Eustolio was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Camerino, Sylvinio, Filberto and Ramon Rangel; and his sister, Esperanza Rangel.
