Eva 'Evie' May Swailes,

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Eva "Evie" May Swailes, 96, of Columbus Junction died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006 in Washington County Hospital.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25 in the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction with the Rev. Gary Wagner of Camp Verde, Ariz. officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Following the committal services there will be a time for food and fellowship in the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the Columbus Junction Senior Citizen Site.

Mrs. Swailes was born Oct. 14, 1910 in rural Washington County, the daughter of Howard and Dora (Davison) Wagner. She married Rodney Swailes on April 1, 1933 in Washington County. He preceded her in death in 1970.
