Eva Hoaglin Harlan May 2, 1904 - August 25, 2003

      Mrs. Eva Hoaglin Harlan, 99, of Hillsboro, died on Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, at 7:55 p.m. in Park Place of the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, at Hillsboro Baptist Church. The Rev. David Doerr and the Rev. Bob Dameron will officiate. Interment will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

      Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials in her memory have been established for the Hillsboro Baptist Church or Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

      Survivors are her daughter, Carole Melissa and her husband Glen Christians of Mount Dora, Fla.; a grandson, Chad Harlan Brousseau and his wife Kelly of Salem; a granddaughter, Kelly O'Neil and her husband Hans Larsen of West Des Moines; and three great-grandchildren, Lauren and Sean Brousseau of Salem and Lily Larsen of West Des Moines.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and seven brothers, Harry, Clyde, Frank, Mark, Joe, William and C.F. Hoaglin.
