Eva W. Hootman

Eva W. Hootman, 92, of Fairfield, died at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. James McGaffey officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26 at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Fund.

Survivors include three sons, Charles E. and his wife Betty Hootman of Washington, Robert W. Hootman of El Paso, Texas, and James R. and his wife Kathryn Hootman of Harrisburg, S.D.; four daughters, Delores and her husband Wayne Ford of Mt. Pleasant, Dixie and her husband Keith Myers of Birmingham, Peggy and her husband Robert Hoover of Edwards, Mo., and Karen and her husband Homer Iseman of Lebanon, Mo.; 30 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Maynard Philips of Keosauqua; and four sisters, Erma Johnston of Libertyville, Meda Kopsieker, Treva Greiner and Shirley Baird, all of Fairfield.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bill Hootman; and three brothers, Dale, Donald and Doyle Philips.
