Evelyn Doris Sojka

      Evelyn Doris Sojka, 77, of Columbus Junction, formerly of Washington, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, in the Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction following a lengthy illness.

      Celebration of life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Friday in the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Riverside. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

      Mrs. Sojka was born March 23, 1930, in Raymond, S.D., the daughter of Fred and Bertha (Nommenson) Yordi. She married Elmer Sojka on Feb. 2, 1949, in Iowa City.
