Evelyn Irene Heater

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Evelyn Irene (Parkhurst) Heater, 82, of Wapello, formerly of Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

      Graveside services will be held at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at Columbus City Cemetery in Columbus City, with the Rev. Paul Appel of St. Joseph's Catholic Church officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Wapello Fire and Rescue or the Wapello Nursing Home.

      Mrs. Heater was born on March 25, 1924, in Greene, to Charles T. and Katherine I. (Brown) Stock. On Jan. 12, 1943, she married Ernest D. Parkhurst in Preston, Minn. He preceded her in death in 1980. She married Richard D. Heater on March 28, 1981, in Sweet Springs, Mo.
