Evelyn Mudge Madden

      Evelyn Mudge Madden, 88, of Keosauqua, died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a short illness.

      A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Keosauqua United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Elsa Lawry officiating. Burial will be in Harness Cemetery in Mount Sterling.

      Open visitation began today at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, where the family will be present from 7-8 p.m.

      Memorials to Keosauqua Public Library may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the family at 1408 Eighth St., Keosauqua 52565.

      Mrs. Madden was born July 10, 1920, in Ottumwa, the daughter of George P. and Esther McElroy Mudge. She married Max E. Madden July 29, 1942, in Ottumwa.
