Evelyn Neff
Evelyn Neff, 83, of Washington, died Thursday, Jan. 3, in Washington following a sudden illness.
Visitation begin at noon today, Jan. 7, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home of Washington, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Wollenberg officiating. Burial will be at Cottonwood Cemetery in Wayland.

She was born June 25, 1924 in Lexington, the daughter of Milton and Eva Ramsey Smith. On July 20, 1941, she married Don H. Neff in Kahoka, Mo.
Having attended rural school in Washington County, she worked at Advance Ross, The Box Factory, and later at the Washington Care Center until her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Forde and her husband Chuck of Burlington; her son, Donald Neff and his wife Karen of Wayland; her daughter, Linda Sinn of Wayland; her daughter, Sandy Flood and her husband Bear of Raytown, Mo.; three sisters, Aileen Shull and Ruth Lamansky of Washington and Shirley Barwick of Davenport; three brothers, Dale Smith and his wife Mary of Washington, Stanley Smith of Denver, Colo., and Harold Smith of Murrieta, Calif.; one son-in-law, Eugene Boock of Washington; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, daughter, two grandchildren, brothers Donald and Charles Smith, sisters Donna Wilson and Norma Brinning, and son-in-law Ed Sinn preceded her in death.
