Evelyn R. Gilbert

      Evelyn R. Gilbert, 91, of Keosauqua, died at 5:40 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

      A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Kilbourne Cemetery.

      Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where family will be present from 4-6 p.m.

      Memorials to Kilbourne Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 26916 Route J-16, Stockport 52651.

      Mrs. Gilbert was born Oct. 29, 1916, near Kilbourne, the daughter of Nelson and Ruth Steele Ramsey. She married Gordon T. Gilbert June 27, 1935, in Fairfield. He died Aug. 16, 1996.
