Everett Eugene “Sonny” Bunker, 77, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2023, with his family by his side. Born November 22, 1945, he was a 1964 graduate of Winfield High School and spent many years from childhood at Bunker Welding in Iowa, his family’s business. After moving with his family to Arizona he worked at O’Reilly Auto Parts from 1989 until his retirement in 2017. Even with very little, Sonny always made time for his boys and family as they grew. He had a new joke every day and loved to make people laugh.

He is survived by his wife Linda Bunker; sons Jack (Betty) Bunker of Iowa, James “JR” (Kelly) Bunker of Mes,a Arizona, Tony (Kim) Bunker of Mesa, Arizona, and Troy (Kelli) Bunker, also of Mesa, Arizona; sisters Evelyn Davis, Barb Long, and Ruth Coberley; 10 loving grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Matilda Bunker.
