EVERETT RICHARD TRISKA

Richard Everett Triska, 66, formerly of Ottumwa, died June 17, 2020, at Pearl Valley Care Center in Muscatine.

He was born Nov. 14, 1953, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Ernest Earl and Rose Ella DeWees Triska. A U.S. Navy veteran, Richard attended schools in Des Moines and Ottumwa and had worked for the parks department in Ottumwa.

He enjoyed riding his bicycle and bowling.

Surviving include a son, Tony Triska of Woodward; his mother, Rose VanNess; and his twin brother, Robert Earl Triska, both of Washington, Iowa; a sister, Rose Marie Waldorfl and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest; and stepfathers, Lester VanNess and Robert Kopp.

Graveside services and burial was Monday, June 22, at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Father Patrick Hilgendorf presided.

Reece Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
