F. June Michaels June 8, 1914 - March 28, 2004

F. June Michaels, 89, of Prairie Ridge Care Center in Mediapolis, formerly of Yarmouth, died on Sunday, March 28, 2004, at the care center.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 2 at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis, with the Rev. John Gaulke officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Cemetery, rural Mt. Union. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 1 at the funeral home, with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to the Yarmouth Fire Department and Mediapolis Ambulance Service.

Survivors include four daughters, Lois Oberman of Yarmouth, Mary Beckman and Marilyn Japsen, both of Burlington, and Laurel Lukens of Gladstone, Ill.; a sister, Mary Virginia Talbott of Mt. Union; and 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, a brother and a sister.
