WELLMAN ? Faith Mary Virginia Plank, 93, of Wellman, died Friday, July 17, 2015, in Parkview of Wellman.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 21, at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman with Chaplain David Grimm officiating. Burial will be in the Wellman Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m., Monday, July 20, at the funeral home. A general memorial fund has been established.
Mrs. Plank was born April 1, 1922, in rural Wellman, the daughter of Henry and Bessie (Carr) Wilkins. She married David D. Plank on May 5, 1939, in Iowa City.
She attended Surprise Valley rural school. She and her husband made their home in the Wellman community, where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Daytonville Community Church. She enjoyed going to the Wellman Senior Center and playing bingo.
Surviving are four sons, Larry Plank and wife Karen of Kalona, Greg Plank of Wellman, Jay Plank of Wellman, and Justin Plank of North English; one daughter, Sandra Klopp and husband Charles of Wellman; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Plank of Iowa City; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David, in 1995; two sons, William, and Fred; one grandson; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma Bennett; two brothers, Dean Wilkins, and Henry Wilkins; and one half brother, Charles Moffitt.
