Fannie A. Schwartzendruber

      KALONA-Fannie A. Schwartzendruber, 86, of Kalona, formerly of Riverside, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, after a lingering illness.

      Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, a t Kalona Mennonite Church in Kalona, with the Rev. Scott Swartzendruber, the Rev. Mick Murray, and the Rev. David L. Yoder officiating. Burial will be at East Union Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present. Memorials may be made for the Kalona Mennonite Church or Pleasantview Home. Peterseim Funeral Service in Kalona is in charge of the arrangements.

      Mrs. Schwartzendruber was born on Feb. 18, 1921, in rural Kalona, to David M. and Nancy (Jantzi) Bender. She married Edgar Schwartzendruber on Nov. 24, 1960, in Kalona. He preceded her in death in 1987.
