Fanny Smucker
KALONA - Fanny Smucker, 94, of Kalona, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a lengthy illness.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church in rural Kalona, with the Rev. Don Patterson, the Rev. David L. Yoder, and the Rev. Dean Swartzendruber officiating. Burial will be in Lower Deer Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be today, from 2 to 8 p.m., at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, with family present from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Smucker was born on Aug. 11, 1909 in Kalona, to John and Lydia (Reber) Gingerich. She married Herman J. Smucker on Nov. 30, 1933.
