Farrel Gentzler

Farrel Gentzler, 92, of Columbus Junction, passed away on September 10, 2017 at Colonial Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery at a later date. Visitation for Farrel will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Farrel Allen Gentzler was born on August 2, 1925, in Columbus Junction, the son of Manford and Jessie (Allen) Gentzler. On March 5, 1949, Farrel married Delores Marshall in Columbus Junction.

Farrel will be deeply missed by his wife Delores; sons, David (Shirley) Gentzler of Iowa City, Thomas (Cheryl) Gentzler of Indianola and Scott (Lea) Gentzler of Marion; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marjorie Wieland of Lone Tree and Carol Ann (Joe) Howell of Columbus Junction
