Fern E. Smith January 9, 1911 - October 19, 2003
Fern Elizabeth Smith, 92, of Prairie Village in Wapello, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003 at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. She has been cremated and burial will take place at a later date at the Trinity Cemetery in Mt. Union. A memorial fund has been established for the Wapello Community Ambulance Service.
Survivors include one son, Rollyce Smith of Mediapolis; two granddaughters, three great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister, one half-brother and an infant great-grandson.
