Fern Nielson Blythe November 30, 1918 - October 12, 2003

      Fern Nielson Blythe, 84, of Stratford, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003 at the Hamilton Hospital in Webster City.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Kingdom Hall in Boone with Brother Tim Wells officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home in Fort Dodge from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16.

      Survivors include her husband; one son, Paul and his wife Mary Alice Nielson of Sturgeon, Mo.; two daughters, Peggy and her husband Gilbert Schwering of Stratford and Betty Stephenson of Fort Dodge; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen Beck of Portland, Ore; and one sister, Cora Wiese of Janesville, Wis.

      In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jackie and Tommy Nielson; her parents; brothers Robert, Leonard and Floyd Beck; and one sister, Mildred Highland.
