Fern Phyllis Mallonee

      Fern Phyllis Mallonee, 88, of Ottumwa, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.

      A service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville, with the Rev. Michael Renken officiating. Burial will be next to her husband in Chillicothe Cemetery in Chillicothe.

      Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith United Church Building Fund. Cards and memorials may be sent to 307 S. Main St., Libertyville 52567.

      Mrs. Mallonee was born March 31, 1919, on a farm near Bunch, the daughter of Eli Hopkins and Grace Garner Cox Hopkins. She married Jason Mallonee Dec. 25, 1938, in Ottumwa. He died Oct. 23, 1996.
