Ferne Mary Troyer

    KALONA ? Ferne Mary Troyer, 87, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010, in the Pleasantview Home in Kalona.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at the Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church in rural Kalona with the Rev. Don Patterson officiating.  Burial will be in the Lower Deer Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona where the family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.  A memorial fund has been established for Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church, Pleasantview Home, and Iowa City Hospice.

    Mrs. Troyer was born Feb. 16, 1923, in rural Parnell, the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Yoder) Fisher.  She married Cleo Troyer on May 18, 1948, at the West Union Mennonite Church.
