Florence M. Jacobs January 15, 1916 - February 2, 2004

Florence Marie Jacobs, 88, of Ottumwa, formerly of Eldon, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004 at Hospice House of Ottumwa.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12 in the chapel of Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Connie Markle officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds with family present from 4 to 5 p.m. Memorials can be made to Hospice House of Ottumwa and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to family at 1320 N. Wapello St., Ottumwa, IA 52501.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary and her husband James Turner of Ottumwa; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter; and one brother Lester Bird of Denver, Colo.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Lyle, Merle and Ronald Bird and one sister, Mildred Dietrich.
