Florence M. Shimon

      KALONA-Florence M. Shimon, 95, of Kalona, died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 11, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond, with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Solon. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 10, from 2 to 8 p.m., with family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m., and prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Kalona Volunteer Fire Department, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, or the Kalona Historical Society. Peterseim Funeral Service in Kalona is in charge of arrangements.
