Flossie A. Burkhiser Lair
Flossie A. Burkhiser Lair, 93, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Mediapolis, died at 1:45 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2005, at Park Place Long Term Care Unit in Mt. Pleasant.
The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 29 in Kossuth Cemetery in rural Mediapolis, with the Rev. Kenneth Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at Lunning Chapel in Burlington. There will be no family visitation. A memorial has been established.
Survivors include a daughter, Elaine McLain of Lockridge; three grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Grace Johnson of Mediapolis; and a brother, Everett Burkhiser of Middletown.
