Floyd E. Dobson

      GRAND JUNCTION-Floyd E. Dobson, 79, of Wellman, died Friday, July 16, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, at First United Methodist Church in Grand Junction with the Rev. Steve Ranson and the Rev. Elvin Martin officiating. Burial will be in Junction Township Cemetery in Grand Junction, with military rites accorded by Ray Hawbaker American Legion Post No. 28 and Floyd Brown American Legion Post No. 11. Family visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. this evening, at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Grand Junction. Memorials will be used for a park memorial.

      Mr. Dobson was born on Oct. 30, 1924, in Carroll, to Charlie and Lora (Sapp) Dobson. He married Florence Henderson in 1946.
