Forrest E. Wallerich
Forrest E. Wallerich, 86, of Danville, died Sunday, June 18, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 22, at Elliott Chapel in New London with the Rev. Ed Davis officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eliott Chapel with the family present from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A memorial has been established.
Mr. Wallerich was born May 19, 1914, at Richland, the son of Ransom and Bertha McClure Wallerich. He married Charlotte Barnett Vance on September 17, 1965, in Canton, Mo. A 1934 graduate of Richland High School, he played football in high school. He worked as a farmer and was employed at IAAP, from which he retired in 1978.
Survivors include his wife; eight sons, John of Kalona, Charles of Covington, Ind., Dick of Cedar Rapids, Ron of Littleton, Colo., Gary of Windsor, Colo., Larry of Central City, Colo., Mike of Danville, and Alan of Danville; four daughters, Barbara Pratt of Vinton, Jackie Barker of Lincoln, Neb., Judy Nelson of Broomfield, Colo., and Patty Revels of Buford, S.C.; stepson Jerry Vance of Burlington; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, and step-daughter Debbie Vance.
