Forrest L. Fuhrer November 18, 1915 - July 11, 2005

      Forrest L. Fuhrer, 89, of Burlington, formerly of New London, died Monday, July 11, 2005, at his home.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 15 at Elliott Chapel in Burlington, with Pastor Sue Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in New London. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 14 at the chapel, with family present following a 6 p.m. Masonic service until 8 p.m. A memorial has been established.

      Survivors include two daughters, Sue Shumaker of Danville, and Jane Ruschill of Burlington; a son, Ted Fuhrer of Corona del Mar, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

      In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a sister and two brothers.
