Frances Katherine Sophia Mortensen Diveney
COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Frances Katherine Sophia Mortensen Diveney, 90, of Conesville, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, after complications of a heart attack and stroke at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction, with the Rev. Robert Orr and the Rev. Michael McAfee officiating. Burial was in the Conesville Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name.
Mrs. Diveney was born Feb. 6, 1913, in Ringstead, to Hans Mortensen from Denmark and Catherine (Kohl) Mortensen from Germany. She was married to Milton Emmet Diveney on July 14, 1931, in Blue Earth, Minn. He preceded her in death in 1985.
