Francis B. 'Bucky' James July 2, 1922 - February 3, 2004

Francis Bernard "Bucky" James, 81, of Ainsworth, died on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at Washington County Hospital.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Jones-Eden Funeral Home, with military honors following the service. The Rev. Scott Nesbitt will officiate. Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6 at the funeral home, with family present from 4 to 6 p.m. Memorials have been established to Ainsworth and Crawfordsville First Responders and Hospice of Washington County.

      Survivors include his wife of Sunrise Terrace in Winfield; two stepsons, Jerry Strain of Le Mars and Ted Strain of Estherville; three stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren; three half brothers, Junior Marvin Buck, Lloyd Dale Buck and Richard Lee Buck, all of Ainsworth; and three half sisters, Helen Johnson of Washington, Mary Lou Edgar of Crawfordsville, and Katie Kiesey of Marion.

      He was preceded in death by his parents and two half sisters.
