Francis ?Murphy? Gene Murphy
Francis ?Murphy? Gene Murphy, 65, of New London and formerly of Burlington, died at 7:25 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at the New London Nursing and Rehab Center after a lengthy illness.
The funeral service was at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 11 in the Chapel of the Hass Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Gary L. Chapman of Zion United Church of Christ officiating. Visitation was after 8 a.m. on Monday at the Hass Funeral Home with the family present from noon to 1 p.m. Burial with full military honors rendered by VFW Post #3508 and American Legion Post #41 was in the Keokuk National Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
