Francis W. 'Smitty' Smith
MONMOUTH, Ill.-Francis W. "Smitty" Smith, 95, of Washington, formerly of Monmouth, Ill., died Monday, June 14, 2004, at Washington County Hospital in Washington.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Ill., with the Rev. William C. Myers officiating. Cremation will be accorded. No visitation is planned. Memorials may be directed to Faith United Presbyterian Church in Monmouth.
Mr. Smith was born on Sept. 14, 1908, in Perry, Ill., to George H. and Myrtle (Cory) Smith. He married Mary E. Connerly on Aug. 27, 1930, in Galesburg, Ill.
