Franklin 'Frank' LeRoy Sojka

      Franklin "Frank" LeRoy Sojka, 72, of Washington, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at Halcyon House in Washington.

      Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with the Rev. Ed O'Melia and the Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial with military rites accorded will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation began at noon today at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8:30 this evening. A Knights of Columbus rosary will be said at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by prayer services at 7 p.m. A memorial has been established for Washington County Public Health.

      Mr. Sojka was born March 15, 1933, in rural Washington, to Yaro and Mabel (Kos) Sojka. He married Rita Schultz on Sept. 7, 1957, in East Pleasant Plain. She preceded him in death in 1995.
