Fred C. Dickey Jr. October 12, 1920 - August 21, 2003

      Fred C. Dickey Jr., 82, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

      Funeral services will be Monday, Aug. 25, at 10:30 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Wayne Kamm officiating. Burial with full military rites will be at Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 24, from noon to 6 p.m. at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant with family present from 1 to 3 p.m. A memorial has been established to the Mt. Pleasant Public Library.

      Survivors include a son, Hobart Dickey of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Ann and her husband Capt. Robert McCrary of Coronado, Calif.; a brother-in-law, Tim and his wife Winnie Clark of Chicago.

      In addition to his wife, Fred was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Martha Dickey.
