Fred J. Miller

    KALONA ? Fred J. Miller, 89, of Kalona, died Friday, April 24, 2009, in Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a lingering illness.

    Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. today at Trinity United Methodist Church in Riverside with the Rev. Betsey Neipert officiating.  Burial was in South Sharon (Grout) Cemetery in rural Riverside.  Memorials may be made to the Iowa City Hospice.  Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona is handling the arrangements.

    Mr. Miller was born Jan. 27, 1920, the son of Jacob and Anna (Miller) Miller.  He married Gladys Schenk on April 24, 1946, at South Sharon Methodist Church in rural Riverside.
