Freda May Green Barr

      Freda May Green Barr, 97, of Mt. Pleasant, died of a heart ailment on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at 3:40 a.m. at the Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

      A public Order of the Eastern Star service will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant. The Bethlehem Chapter #38 O.E.S. will conduct the service. The funeral service will follow with the Rev. Dr. Edward R. Peterson, senior pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Loveland Burial Park Cemetery in Loveland, Colo., with the O.E.S. chapter of Ft. Collins, Colo., conducting the service. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Weir Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with family present from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 at the church. Memorials have been established to the Mt. Pleasant Public Library or the library at the First United Methodist Church.
