G. Richard Apland July 13, 1943 - June 12, 2003
G. Richard "Dick Apland, 59, of Ankeny, died on June 12, 2003, in Des Moines after an extended illness.
Private services and burial will be held in Des Moines. Highland Park Funeral Home in Des Moines is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Apland was born on July 13, 1943, in Creston, the son of George P. and Marjorie Hunting Apland. He grew up in Muscatine and graduated from Muscatine High School and Creighton University.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Davis; and four sons, Todd, Barry, Scott and Tony Apland; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Erick, and his mother.
He was preceded in death by his father.
