G. Stanley Foster

      G. Stanley Foster, 91, of Peoria, Ill., formerly of Washington, died Monday, July 25, 2005, at Apostolic Christian Home in Roanoke, Ill.

      Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Fred Bickhart officiating. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the family present. A time of food and fellowship will follow the service. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society or OSF Hospice in Peoria, Ill.

      Mr. Foster was born July 15, 1914, in Washington to Boyd and Blanche (McMillan) Foster. He married Myrtle Coakley in December 1937. She preceded him in death in 1997.
