Gary H. Coleman

Gary H. Coleman, 71, of rural Fairfield, died Friday, Aug. 8, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 11, at Round Prairie Baptist Church south of Lockridge, with the Rev. Kevin Dice and Aaron Helterbran officiating. Burial was at Lambirth Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 5, 1936, on a farm south of Mt. Pleasant, the son of Stephen and Iva Young Coleman. On Oct. 31, 1958, he married Gloria Gideon; they later divorced. On Sept. 17, 1966, he married Kay Clark.
