Gary Leroy Reinier, 75, of Ollie, died at his home Monday, May 30, 2022. He was born Dec. 15, 1946, the son of Clell Leroy and Grace Patterson Reinier. He grew up on the family farm west of Ollie, attended Ollie Grade School and graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1965. Gary was drafted into the U.S. Army and proudly served in Viet Nam. Gary married Pam Power in Ollie on Sept. 18, 1976. He worked at Fairfield Aluminum Casting (FALCO) for over 40 years, retiring in 2009. Gary had many hobbies and interests: collecting antiques, going to flea markets and swap meets, auctions and working on mower and engines of all kinds and specially attending Old Threshers every year to see the steam engines and tractors.
Gary was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather and is survived by his wife, Pam; two sons, Brian Reinier and his wife Amanda of Ollie and Mark Reinier and his wife Hope of Frytown; daughter, Amy Reinier of Fairfield; 11 grandchildren and three sons from a previous marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at Gould Funeral Home in Richland with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be held in Rock Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held immediately preceding the service 10 to 11 a.m. General memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Brian Reinier, 24693 Hwy 78, Ollie, IA 52576. Gould Funeral Home of Richland is in charge of arrangements.
