Gene R. Foss

      Gene R. Foss, 83, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at Winslow House Care Center in Marion.

      A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church in Waterloo. Burial will be in Waterloo Cemetery.

      Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday at the church.

      Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church or Allen Hospital Foundation.

      Mr. Foss was born Feb. 13, 1925, in La Porte City, the son of Shelby and Iva Jean Richards Foss. He married Eleanor Ann White May 29, 1948, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She died Dec. 4, 2005.
