Gene R. Krekel September 19, 1941 - September 24, 2005
Gene Rollin Krekel, 64, of Burlington, died at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
The funeral service was today at the First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Forest Krummel officiating. Burial was in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Des Moines County Fair.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Molly Steinbrech of Solon; and a brother, Donald L. Krekel of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter and a son.
