Genevieve Messer

Genevieve Messer, 95, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, Feb. 12, at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at Green Mound Church of God west of Trenton, with the Rev. Jim Stott officiating. Burial will be at Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.

She was born Oct. 18, 1913, in rural Henry County, the daughter of Rollie and Nellie Norton Hyde. On Nov. 6, 1937, she married Guy Messer.
